My first job was in manufacturing in the 1980’s. I did not understand warehousing and transportation until reassignment to a logistics role in 1985. The focus of APICS is manufacturing, CSCMP’s foundation is in logistics, and ISM serves the procurement organization. I am a product of traditional, silo-based thinking.

I am half-way through a spring speaking tour that will wrap-up in June with a speech in South Africa and Peru. I am a manufacturing gal by training. Include the supplier’s warehouse and manufacturing locations. This work is important to me. I believe that supply chains build economies and save the world.
