In four of its Minneapolis test stores, Best Buy reduced the shoppable square footage to 15,000 square feet to provide more space for fulfillment. It is remodeling 13 stores to deliver an even greater portion of the volume, reducing the sales floor square footage, and installing warehouse-grade packaging station equipment and supplies.

Schultz grew the business to 235 trucks, 242 drivers, and back-office staff of 42, including warehouse and cross-border operations staff in Laredo, Texas. Our supply chain involves a contract manufacturer, a third-party testing facility, warehouses to store inventory and a freighting company. For example, if my contract manufacturer is late with an order it can cause me to incur excess costs with the freighting and warehousing companies, respectively.
