Wing and Zipline are drone delivery providers and will allow Walmart to cover 75 percent of the Dallas-Fort Worth population as stores in 30 towns and municipalities will now offer drone delivery service. New research suggests that a misunderstanding of what was happening with global supply chains might be part of why.

Supply chain shortages have caused prices to rise globally on just about every consumer good imaginable. Trucking, warehousing, and parcel-delivery companies added a combined 32,900 jobs last month, according to seasonally adjusted preliminary employment figures the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, down from 44,700 jobs added in April.
