While the cure for COVID is well on its way, there is no vaccine for what’s afflicting container shipping. But that’s changed. Logistics is global.

Source: J.P. But cross-border trade is an important part of the global economy and much of this trade is in physical goods that must be stored, shipped, transported, and eventually consumed. I also looked at changes in exports by the US, Europe, and China. I see that as a positive. I don’t see that as a positive.

It’s having an impact mainly in Europe and Asia. Rates for 40-foot containers from Asia to North Europe are at $8,764.14.
