In a significant labor activism development, a majority of auto workers within Volkswagen’s Tennessee production facility has voted to be represented by a labor union. This is a rather significant development in that it represents the first time that workers within a southern U.S. auto plant located in a right-to-work state have voted to seek formal representation for collective bargaining.
