Even from a great distance, three September storms had an impact on California cargo in mid-October. Cargo ships were re-routed or delayed en route to and from ports from Savannah to Baltimore. Denver to Albuquerque got a 7¢ increase, to $2.18/mile. Blame the weather. Apart from L.A. It wasn't just Chicago, either.
